June 8, 2019: March with Casa Myrna at Pride!
Casa Myrna is marching in Boston Pride this year on Saturday, June 8, 2019 and you can join us! 🌈
📣 We’re marching to amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ survivors, especially those who are people of color and/or immigrants.
🎊 We’re marching to look back to celebrate how far the intertwined movements for LGBTQ+ liberation and to end abuse & trauma have come.
💕 We’re marching to #LoveForward into a future where every relationship is safe and healthy… and treated with equal respect and care in our communities.
And finally… we’re marching because our community of staff & survivors includes so many LGBTQ+ folks and those who love them!! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Want to march with us? RSVP to Sam at sschultz@casamyrna.org by Thursday, June 6!
- Our current plan is to meet up at 10:00 am on the front steps (facing Dartmouth Street) of the Boston Public Library in Copley Square. You’ll find us wearing purple tie-dyed t-shirts and carrying a big Casa Myrna banner. The time and location where we meet may change, so please RSVP to be sure you’ll get updates.
- Dress festive! 60’s-inspired clothes and accessories are encouraged, and our organization’s colors are purple, lime green, and sky blue. This is a time to celebrate, so feel free to get creative with your dress!
- Bring sunscreen and water, and make sure to check the forecast when you leave so that you can pack rain gear or a warm layer if needed.
