We currently have opportunities for volunteers in our direct service, program engagement, and special projects areas.
SafeLink, our statewide domestic violence hotline, receives almost 30,000 calls a year. SafeLink volunteers will work alongside SafeLink Advocates to provide over-the-phone advocacy to hotline callers, including supportive listening, safety planning, and crisis intervention. SafeLink is often the first point of contact for a domestic violence survivor to Casa Myrna. Volunteers play a vital role in responding with care and compassion and providing critical resources.
Shifts available: Days, evenings, and weekends
Residential Support volunteers play an integral role in supporting residential staff in the provision of advocacy services to the families living in Casa Myrna’s residential programs. Volunteers will assist on a variety of tasks, including the day-to-day program maintenance, providing developmentally appropriate childcare, and ensuring that Casa Myrna families are able to access the necessary services and resources they need.

Special Projects Volunteers work on a variety of projects designed to match volunteers’ skill sets with Casa Myrna’s programmatic needs. These volunteers respond to the ongoing needs that arise in our shelters or our overall organization. This work is critical to support our programs and promote both Casa Myrna and the issue of domestic violence more broadly.

Casa Myrna welcomes groups of volunteers who are looking to engage in a “day of service” with one of our programs. All group and corporate volunteers are invited to fill out the Group Volunteer Application.
Casa Myrna values all those who support our mission as we support those impacted by domestic violence. This includes our tremendous volunteers who have donated time, energy and so much more over the years. As an organization that relies on not only in-kind support from volunteers, but also donations from various constituents, Casa Myrna respectfully requests our corporate volunteer friends consider a donation with each volunteer engagement. These funds will go a long way towards helping us provide ongoing support to our participants and their families. Questions can be addressed to Paola Rosario-Mateo, our Volunteer & Events Officer, pmateo@casamyrna.org. Thank you!
