Amigos en Acción

Purpose:
We believe that the power of community is our greatest asset, and our goal in launching Amigos en Acción is to foster our constituents into a connected community, fueled by participation and hope, to make every relationship safe and healthy. We will stand together to bring abuse out of the shadows through community engagement, and collective action.

Membership Guidelines:
Members of the Casa Myrna Vazquez (CMV) Amigos en Acción are supporters of, ambassadors for, and advisors to Casa Myrna. CMV provides Ambassadors with specialized communications and invitations to exclusive social and educational events. CMV Amigos en Acción have access to the CEO, Board, and Leadership Team, and are invited to participate on ad hoc committees and outreach events.

Members demonstrate their commitment to Casa Myrna in the following ways:

• Attend the annual CMV Amigos en Acción event in October.
• Contribute $2,500 or more each year to the Annual Fund.
• Serve as Ambassadors to and develop new relationships for CMV among individuals or groups to expand our pool of supporters, partners, and survivors.
• Participate with CMV leadership by serving on committees and through outreach events in the community.

CMV Amigos en Acción membership is valid for one calendar year and is renewable with the continued annual donation of at least $2,500. The number of CMV Amigos en Acción shall be limited to 40.

Events:
You will be invited to a special Amigos en Acción event annually and have discounted access to other CMV events throughout the year. Members will be encouraged to invite others to these gatherings with the goal of enhancing the visibility of CMV and growing its base of supporters.

Events will include:

• Annual CMV Amigos en Acción event in October.
• Discounted tickets to CMV March luncheon and May reception.
• Invitations to participate in other CMV leadership activities, education, training, and all stewardship events throughout the year.
• CMV Amigos en Acción members receive a 15% discount at our online merchandise store.
• Invitation to CMV Open House at Blue Hill Ave office and have professional headshots taken.

Communications:
In addition to CMV publications and advanced notice of events and programs; Amigos en Acción will receive information such as:

• Periodic updates and accomplishments of specific interest to CMV.
• Annual report, including financial and philanthropic reports.
