Mintz Levin Backpack Project

Group of backpacks2Each fall, Mintz Levin employees generously coordinate and contribute to a drive that provides backpacks, clothing and school supplies for students affected by domestic violence. Our families are deeply grateful to receive these gifts. This year, Mintz Levin donated 24 backpacks to children in our programs. Thank you, Mintz Levin, for your dedication to Casa Myrna. You are giving students a strong start to the school year.

Kudos to Old South Church Volunteers

20150811_173838A heartfelt thanks to our friends from Old South Church in Boston for supporting the Teen Parenting Program. In addition to a generous grant for the program’s operations this year, Church members are sharing their skills as volunteers with our teen families. Claire Brown taught a four-week healthy cooking and nutrition class, culminating in a celebration dinner for families. This hands-on course involved even the youngest cooks at the program! Volunteers Suzanne Bacon, Diane Gaucher and Jane Watt created a lovely garden gracing the front yard of the program. Together, volunteers and families planted and care for the beautiful flowers. We are most grateful for this special partnership with Old South Church, which engages Church leadership, members and teen families in meaningful activities.
