The stories in this section reflect a diverse range of experiences voiced by both survivors of domestic violence and their children. These are stories of fear, pain and sorrow, but also of tremendous courage, strength, and determination. Rarely do we hear first hand from survivors who overcame the isolation and shame engendered by their abusers, found a way out, and rebuilt their lives. In their own words, they share their wisdom, encouragement and strength. We thank them for their courage in telling their stories.
